Let’s start with the discounts first: we are doing a massive discount until 21 DECEMBER for our quant lectures:
Here’s how you can get EVEN more discounts. I have enabled reviews on the QT101-QT401 lectures. For each course you have enrolled in, we would love to have your honest feedback on it. We are gonna do 25USD discount for each review you give us. The payment links all have modifiable prices. You can just input the price net of discounts.
For example, say you have given us a review on QT101 and QT201, then for your QT301 purchase before 21st Dec, just input 250-25-25 = 200USD, and then screenshot this payment and your two reviews to hangukquant@gmail.com. I’ll enrol you after confirming. And they stack. So QT201 review » you can use for both QT301 and QT401, and so on.
Now our directive.
Every year, I like to reflect on my journey as a quant, and this platform is one of my main mediums of public output. In the first year as HangukQuant, we mostly tweeted out informal threads on systematic trading, and stuck to the formulaic alpha reports.
In the second year of reflection, I decided to move a significant portion of my personal efforts into solo projects and trading, and contribute to the platform more for my readers. We adopted dual changes in policy; 1) to relax stringent code policies/be more liberal with sharing code and 2) to discuss a wider range of topics.
I think we did satisfy those policies, bringing up new products such as the market notes and sharing code files, such as the Russian Doll library. This grew our community quite significantly.
As I reflect on this year’s progress, I want to reinstate and reinforce these policies to direct our platform over the next year and serve our readers better. We will
Continue the trend of sharing more code, and building out better quant infrastructure, with the HangukQuant community repo
https://hangukquant.substack.com/p/hangukquant-community-github-repo
as part of our new initiative.
Continue to explore more topics, including experimental areas.
As my personal quant dev projects mature, it also allows me to publish or contribute to work that is more `out there’, such as community repositories with less error-prone logic. I think this year is a good time to step into these projects, given how my personal endeavours have panned out.
I haven’t done any serious marketing to gain exposure to new readers in the past, except for just writing a few quant trading threads on Twitter and retweeting stuff - we don’t intend to either, but we are definitely going to start posting some of the material on other platforms and just be in general, more aggressive with putting out content.
We are also going to send out discounts more frequently, so if you are a regular - please don’t pay full price for stuff - just send me an email and when there is enough demand I’ll just release cheaper links~
I am excited to bring up and work on new initiatives, and continue to grow as a quant with a lovely community like you guys.
Much Love Brother!!! ♥️
